Australian Legal Sector Alliance (AusLSA) AusLSA is working collaboratively to promote sustainable practices across the legal sector. Net Balance is providing the secretariat for the Alliance. The AusLSA Project Manager is based at the Net Balance offices in Melbourne, and is able to draw on the knowledge, experience and resources of the whole of the Net Balance Group. The platform is a multi-award winning education and staff engagement tool that is used in a number of organisations. NetBalance provides subject matter expertise for Change2 content which covers a diverse range including energy efficiency, construction, carbon trading and staff engagement modules. Alongside this, Change2 also has a Change2 Network which is a free central resource on sustainability that brings together individuals, business, government and NGOs. Net Balance Director, Robyn Leeson, is also an elected member of the GRI’s Stakeholder Council. For more information go to www.globalreporting.org Greenhouse Gas Management Institute (GHGMI) Based in Washington D.C., the GHGMI provides training on the principles, concepts and techniques required to manage and credibly account for GHG emissions. Net Balance is working with GHGMI to develop and deliver a series of accredited online training courses focusing on the Clean Energy legislative package. There are four courses – focusing on Australia’s carbon price mechanism, the Carbon Farming Initiative, the National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting Scheme, and audit and verification requirements. These courses will be available online and will be launched in June 2012 – in time for the introduction of the carbon price. They will complement the existing online education program run by GHGMI, which can be explored here.
