Jamie Ayers Senior Associate (Brisbane) Jamie’s professional background is in corporate energy and carbon management, specifically working with building infrastructure to reduce energy consumption and related emissions. Jamie has over 15 years of experience working in the engineering field. Having spent almost 11 years in the Royal Australian Navy and the last 4 years as the energy and carbon manager for one of the world’s largest law firms, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP, Jamie has experience in both the industrial and commercial sectors. During his time at Freshfields Jamie was responsible for reducing the firm’s global emissions by over 26%. Jamie worked with Cardiff University and the European Union on the HARMONAC project to address the practical issues arising from the need for regular inspection of air-conditioning systems of over 12 kW cooling capacity as required by the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD). Jamie is a member of the Energy Institute and was also a key member of the Legal Sector Alliance (LSA) in the UK, helping the LSA transition from a self-managed carbon data capture system to a more efficient and sophisticated system.
